Senior
The TIGER Scheme senior tester standard is the premier qualification available under the scheme and has been awarded technical equivalence to the CESG CHECK assault course. Intended for penetration test team leaders the examination is taken under strict University examination conditions. The examining body is currently the University of Glamorgan, internationally renowned for their MSc in Computer Security.
The assessment takes the form of a practical examination in which candidates have 5 hours in which to complete a series of tasks on the University of Glamorgan’s dedicated test rig system. Following the practical assessment in which candidates will be expected to demonstrate a wide range of practical penetration testing skills the assessment concludes with a face to face Viva interview with two examiners. Candidates will be expected to present their results meaningfully and provide recommendations.
Senior tester status lasts for 3 years, at which point registrants will be required to resit the examination to maintain their senior status.
