TIGER Scheme Qualified Tester assessment consists of a 3 day course followed by a written examination. Qualified testers would be expected to form part of a penetration testing team. Obtaining the Qualified Tester certification presents candidates with a unique career progression route to the TigerScheme Senior Tester qualification which has CESG CHECK equivalence as of the 26th of August 2009.
Those who have obtained the University of Glamorgans MSc in Computer Security in the last 12 months may take the Grandfather route to qualified tester.
QST awards from April 2010, are valid for three years. Candidates wishing to Grandfather in, professional MSc entry route, must apply within 12 months of graduation. From April 2010, an membership subscription covering the three years validity, will be built into the scheme application process.
Cost of Qualified membership: The cost of Qualified membership is £150 + VAT and is valid for 3 years (renewable)
