Tiger Scheme is directed by a Management Committee including representatives from Government and various sectors of industry, including telecoms and utilities, and academia. The role of the Management Committee is to ensure that Tiger Scheme reflects industry requirements in both its services and range of certifications.
The Tiger Scheme Technical Panel advises the Management Committee on technical requirements, endorses standards where appropriate, and develops standards for the use of Tiger Scheme in applying assessments, where necessary.
These two key bodies are supported by an Operating Authority, which manages the day to day operation of the Scheme, and three formally appointed Training Providers, who provide training independently of the assessments conducted under the Scheme.
The remaining critical component of Tiger Scheme is the Examining Body, which conducts the assessments of individuals on behalf of Tiger Scheme. The University of Glamorgan and the Defence College of Communications and Information Systems (DCCIS) are Examining Bodies under Tiger Scheme, with the University conducting commercially-based assessments, and DCCIS offering a similar role for MOD personnel.
